Who we are

The Property Services Division supports the ongoing academic mission of New Zealand's first university by providing the best facilities, services and physical environment in which staff, students and the general public can learn, teach, live and play.

The role

We are looking for an experienced property professional or administrator to join a dedicated team that manages the University's extensive property portfolio, which includes some 470,000m2 of building space with over 11,000 rooms and a replacement cost of $3.5 billion.

This varied Property Manager role includes:

  • Lease negotiation and administration.
  • Sale and purchase of properties.
  • Financial and property portfolio reporting.
  • Administration of Use of Grounds requests.
  • Oversite of the parking model.
  • Management of internal occupancy arrangements.

Your skills and experience

We are looking for an experienced property professional or administrator who learns fast, can work well with people from a range of backgrounds, and is able to routinely make quick, logical decisions. Ideally, you will also have:

  • Property management experience.
  • Experience in customer-facing roles.
  • Excellent written and excel skills.
  • Experience with the University's financial processes and software.
