Plant and Equipment Valuer

In order to support the ongoing growth of Marsh Valuation Services, we are seeking a Senior Plant and Equipment Valuer to join our New Zealand operations. We are specialists in valuations of property, infrastructure, plant and equipment assets throughout the Pacific Region for public and private sector clients.

 

The role will see you undertaking valuations across New Zealand for a range of purposes, however with a focus on financial reporting and insurance valuations. This role would suit a driven individual with experience in undertaking Plant and Equipment valuations across a range of industries looking to expand their career in a fast growing organisation.

We will count on you to:

  • Apply your advanced knowledge of the valuations industry to develop presentations, slides, communications of high complexity to drive internal and client meetings.
  • Provide independent plant, equipment and infrastructure valuation advice for fixed assets across various industries throughout New Zealand.
  • Develop pricing for complex projects and develop proposals to expand relationships with existing clients and gain new clients.
  • Provide expert advice to clients in developing and adjusting project approaches, methodology, and tools to guide risk programmes and initiatives.
  • Develop and executes strategies to expand successful business/working relationships with clients to grow the portfolio.
  • Leverage advanced knowledge of industry trends around risk management to develop actionable insights into a client's business environment and risk management environment.
  • Managing clients and client information to assist in completing valuation projects.
  • Building relationships with major clients and internal stakeholders.

What you need to have: 

  • Strong experience in undertaking Plant and Equipment valuations.
  • Solid stakeholder management, strong interpersonal communication and influencing skills.
  • Level-headed nature and organised under pressure.
  • Experience in an asset management or cost estimating role would be highly desirable.
  • Civil engineers with relevant experience are encouraged to apply.
  • Willing to travel both nationally and internationally.
