Bayleys is an iconic, privately and locally owned NZ success story being recognised as NZ’s biggest full-service Real Estate company.   Bayleys’ specialist Country division is recognised as NZ’s number one real estate brand with salespeople on the ground from the far north to the deep south specialising in marketing and selling rural real estate.

This opportunity exists due to the incumbent taking on the Chief Operation Officer role within the Group. The National Country Manager we are looking for, will be a natural leader who is passionate about rural NZ and whose primary focus will be to lead and grow the Bayleys National Country business. This will involve managing and developing relationships with key industry and corporate organisations, major banks and advisory organisations so it is expected that you will already be in a role where your expertise is recognised and respected in commercial circles relating to the rural sector.

Responsibilities include:

  • Growth of Rural and Lifestyle market share
  • Lead and overview of Bayleys Country activities nationwide
  • Work in conjunction with franchise partners to lead the Bayleys Country product
  • Develop and document Country strategies nationally
  • Centralise financial reporting for all Bayleys Country activity
  • Recruit, train and mentor Country Leaders in the business, manage leadership group
  • Oversee key client account management strategies
  • Provide quarterly reports to GM and COO
  • Liaise with Country Marketing Manager to drive country marketing portfolio and brand
  • Build national media presence and profile
  • Manage rural Corporate relationships
  • Facilitate the national country conference

Bayleys has over 90 offices in NZ, with all regions having a strong country presence. This role can be based out of any of Bayleys’ high performing country offices. Regular travel will be required to ensure the franchise partners are all kept up to date with latest developments.

The National Country Manager represents the rural business for Bayleys but ideas and strategies are shared with you colleagues in the Commercial and the Residential Business who are also based in Auckland.

This key appointment will suit someone who is a born networker who gets a thrill out of being involved in “the deal” while still having strong commercial acumen to strategize and look for opportunities to ensure Bayleys remains the number one rural real estate brand in NZ.
