On 1st October 2019, Housing New Zealand Corporation becomes part of Kāinga Ora - Homes and Communities.
About Kāinga Ora - Homes and Communities
Kāinga Ora - Homes and Communities brings together the three existing agencies of Housing New Zealand, HLC and KiwiBuild to form a new organisation.
Kāinga Ora - Homes and Communities is central to the Government's aspirations for housing and urban development. It will work across the housing spectrum to build thriving communities where everyone has a place to call home.
This new organisation will have two key roles: being a public housing landlord, and partnering with the development community, iwi, and local and central government to deliver urban development projects of all sizes.
The anticipated start date for this new organisation is 1st October 2019.

Our Asset Management Group
The Asset Management team ensures Housing New Zealand's national $21 billion asset portfolio is effectively managed to meet strategic targets. The team is responsible for maintaining and improving the quality of the portfolio, managing the upgrade, configuration and divestment of assets, minimising vacancies and maximising portfolio utilisation.
Our vision is 'Building lives and communities by housing New Zealanders.' To help us achieve this, we are currently recruiting for an Asset Manager. This role reports to the Regional Portfolio Manager and is responsible for the overall management for an assigned portfolio in the Region and ensure their physical and financial performance meets agreed targets and standards in order to protect and improve the overall quality of our assets.
