Casual Registered Valuer – Insurance Replacement Valuations | Auckland

Job Description

Are you a licensed and registered valuer looking for flexible casual work?

Our clients require Insurance Replacement Valuations for predominantly residential body corporate properties, along with some commercial building assets. If you have the valuation expertise, we provide the report formats, construction data, systems and established client relationships.

Solutions in Engineering is a market-leading provider of building compliance reports across Australia and New Zealand. With a strong existing strata and body corporate client base throughout New Zealand, we are continuing to grow our Insurance Replacement Valuation service.

About the Role

This is a fully flexible, productivity-based role that can be scheduled around other work commitments. It may also suit an experienced valuer looking to reduce traditional working hours while maintaining a strong income and work/life balance.

The majority of work will be based in Auckland, with occasional opportunities to undertake work in regional areas.

Remuneration is productivity-based, with the valuer paid 50% of the invoiced fee for each completed job, inclusive of GST. This payment is inclusive of vehicle and mileage costs, with no additional mileage or vehicle allowance payable.

As our New Zealand valuation division continues to grow, there is significant potential for the successful valuer to build a strong volume of work through our established client base.

About You

We are ideally looking for someone with experience completing replacement valuations and an understanding of body corporate valuation requirements.

You will:

  • Be a licensed and registered Valuer with the New Zealand Valuers Board.
  • Hold current membership with NZIV (New Zealand Institute of Valuers).
  • Have legal authorisation to work in New Zealand.
  • Have experience in, or a strong understanding of, Insurance Replacement Valuations.
  • Be able to plan and manage your own workload to meet deadlines while consistently producing quality reports.
  • Effectively and efficiently gather the required information from sites and clients.
  • Be competent using Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel.
  • Hold a current driver's licence and have access to a reliable vehicle.
  • Be comfortable working independently with minimal supervision.

What We Offer

  • 50% of the invoiced job fee for each completed valuation, inclusive of GST.
  • Fully flexible working arrangements.
  • Established client relationships and a growing pipeline of valuation work.
  • Report templates, construction data and administrative support provided.
  • Predominantly Auckland-based work.
  • Opportunities for regional work as required.
  • A professional and supportive team environment.
  • Opportunities for growth and development.

This role joins a team of specialists drawn from a range of professions across the building industry. Some travel throughout New Zealand may be required, although work will predominantly be across the North Island, with the majority based in Auckland.

If you are enthusiastic, hardworking, have a positive attitude and are looking for flexible valuation work backed by an established company and client base, we encourage you to apply.

Please provide a copy of your current resume and a cover letter outlining your suitability for the position.
