Property Consultant, Palmerston North

The Property Group Limited (TPG) is a locally owned property and RMA planning consultancy, bringing Kiwis together to build Aotearoa New Zealand for over two decades. We are on the hunt for an experienced Property Consultant to join our Palmerston North team.

About the job

Our property consultancy team are a talented group of people and apply their expertise, knowledge, and passion in the work they do for our clients every day.  This is an exciting opportunity to join our property team and contribute to important projects that impact all New Zealanders such as transport, energy, housing, and education. Some of the work you will be involved with on a typical day includes: 

• Researching and advising on land status and property rights.

• Negotiating property acquisitions and easements for infrastructure projects and managing delivery of survey and legal registration actions.

• Facilitating and managing the disposal of Local and Central Government owned land that is surplus to requirements. 

About you

We are interested in hearing from people from diverse backgrounds. If you have the skills and experience below, or the potential to develop these, we would love to hear from you. 

We are looking for someone with at least three years of property experience, and we are happy to hear from those at the senior level as well. Either way, you will have a solid understanding of the property industry in Aotearoa. You will have a genuine interest in consultancy, and a background in a consultancy environment would be a plus but not a deal breaker. You will be comfortable dealing with clients, committed to delivering a superior client experience, solving problems, and thinking creatively to find solutions. 

You will be a top-notch communicator, able to write and present your ideas clearly and confidently. Most importantly you will be focused on quality and always take pride in your work. 

With a variety of projects constantly on the go, you’ll be a team player and happy to roll up your sleeves and get stuck in.  You are accountable and take responsibility for your contribution within a multi team project delivery. Building strong relationships and working collaboratively will be second nature to you.  

You recognize, understand and appreciate the importance of accountability and responsibility for your role. You can collaboratively contribute to a project delivered by multiple team members, within budget, in a timely manner and to the highest quality levels.
