Our Client
Carter Group is a multi-generational family property investment company with significant property investments in Christchurch, New Zealand and Australia, including the $140 million integrated retail, office and carparking development known as The Crossing in central Christchurch. Carter Group has investments across retail, industrial, commercial, hotel and agricultural sectors.
The Role
Reporting to the Managing Director, this role is responsible for the management of The Carter Group’s commercial and retail properties and leases. In this role you will develop and implement strategies to ensure a sustainable and profitable return through the effective and efficient management of all properties within the portfolio. Leading a small, highly functioning team, you will develop property management systems, manage commercial leases, OPEX budget and reporting as well as maintenance programmes. Of equal importance will be the creation of sustainable stakeholder relationships with current and potential tenants and the communities the property portfolio operates within.
Skills and Experience
To succeed in this role, you will be able to demonstrate commercial success in a similar role within the property management industry ideally with exposure to retail, commercial or industrial sectors. This role includes a mix of both strategic and more tactical activities so you will be able to move fluidly between the two. You will have exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with proven ability to build strong relationships across a range of stakeholders as well as lead and empower your team.
