Are you enthusiastic, innovative, experienced in residential housing developments and urban design, commercially prudent, and want to make a difference in Christchurch?
The Ōtautahi Community Housing Development Limited Partnership (OCHD LP) was formed by the Ōtautahi Community Housing Trust (OCHT). The limited partnership is governed by the Limited Partnership Agreement with the General Partner as the initial general partner and Ōtautahi Community Housing Trust as the initial limited partner. The Board of Directors of the General Partner meet monthly and the role is responsible for monthly reports to this Board.
This role is an opportunity to be part of a community organisation that creates new social housing developments in Christchurch.
The Property Development Manager accountabilities include the following:
Develop project feasibilities that deliver on social, commercial and economic objectives
Bring commercial acumen that has a focus on social outcomes
Ensure the needs of tenants and communities are central to any commercial activity
Deliver commercially driven, cost effective project management
Embed health and safety protocols in any building or development initiative undertaken by the OCHD Limited Partnership
Scope new developments within parameters set by the OCHD LP
Have experience in and be responsible for procurement processes
Experience and qualification requirements include the following:
Have delivered positive social outcomes through housing and urban design to diverse communities
Ideally a minimum of five years experience in multi-storied residential and/or commercial developments
Ideally a minimum ten years experience in property and construction
Experience with projects exceeding $15 -20 million or 30-50 dwellings
Excellent negotiation and influencing skills
