We have significant operations in New Zealand and Australia; we are enriched by many different languages, customs and lifestyles.   Our Group Property division oversees and manages Fletcher Building’s vast and diverse property portfolio.  This includes up to 1000 property interests, with over 1.5 million square metres of building space.    We own property in New Zealand, Australia, The Pacific, The Americas, Asia and Europe and that includes a variety of building spaces from industrial distribution centres, manufacturing plants, office buildings, retail warehouses, showroom, quarries and storage yards to name a few!   About the Role We have an opportunity for a senior level property asset manager to join our team.  You will be directly responsible for the day to day commercial management of a large portfolio of property within NZ and the optimisation of that portfolio in accordance with Fletcher’s property strategy.  Your role will also extend to the account management of some property owner relationships and continuing to establish a strategic framework to promote commercial best property management practices across your Fletcher Building portfolio.    Your depth and breadth of property industry experience will be essential in optimising the commercial performance of property across the Fletcher Group.  You will be highly competent in lease transactions, market dynamics, drivers behind rent and other property costs, property legislation and regulation – essentially, an expert in the commercial management of property .  There is also opportunity to build on your leadership capability overseeing a small team of property asset managers.    About You Having worked in either the property consultancy industry or for a large company you will have a solid track record in property management complimented by a good understanding of the day to day operations of a diverse property portfolio.  You will be commercially astute with excellent negotiation, analytical skills and problem solving skills you will relish tackling a challenge and following through to ensure a successful end result.  An understanding of property operations and industrial property will be an advantage.   With strong communication skills and a professional approach you will have a natural way about developing the many essential relationships within and external to the Fletcher Group that will facilitate success. A self-starter with drive and ambition you will be university qualified and hold a relevant property industry qualification.   This is an opportunity to work within a high performing delivery oriented team which will see you working across multiple businesses and geographies across New Zealand.
